Today, the world commemorates  International Labor Day and, in the United States, it’s  Worthy Wage Day: a national day of action held annually on May 1st since 1992. It is designed to raise public awareness of:

  • The low wages earned by early childhood educators
  • The impact the educator retention crisis has on young children; and
  • The chronic public underfunding for early childhood education.

We are making May our Worthy Wage Month!

In the upcoming days, we will be sharing information on our Facebook Page about the wage crisis affecting the early childhood education field and how we can address it.

Thank an early childhood educator today for their work and join us in advocating for livable wages in our field!
