The purpose of this e-mail is to inform you about public input opportunities for the 2019–21 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan, and updated information on the CDE Web page.

The CDE/EESD, in partnership with the California Department of Social Services, will host Topical Input Sessions on December 18, 2017. A big thank you to our partners of the California Child Development Administrators Association (CCDAA) and the many County Offices of Education that will serve as hosts throughout the state. Information regarding the Topical Input Sessions, such as site locations, session topics, etc., can be found on the EESD Child Care and Development Fund State Plan Web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/cd/re/stateplan.asp.

The Topical Input Sessions will be hosted at 12 hub locations, as listed on the EESD CCDF State Plan FY 2019-21 Topical Input Sessions Web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/cd/re/ccdfstplninput18dec2017.asp. Each session will include a brief overview of the related CCDF law, and then participants will have the opportunity to speak and share comments about the session topic.

The first Public Hearing will take place on January 16, 2018, pending the release of the federal template for the 2019–21 CCDF State Plan. Additional opportunities for public input and comment are included on the Web page linked above. Comments may be shared via e-mail to statepln at any time.
