With enthusiasm and joy, we warmly invite you to the Outdoor Classroom Project’s informative and inspiring annual conference: “Fostering Physical and Psychological Well-Being through Natural Outdoor Classrooms.”
Experience this energizing full-day conference with other ECE professionals to gain enhanced skills for creating nurturing outdoor spaces for children and bring more joy and effectiveness to your work.
Additionally, if you are a Center Director or Site Supervisor, we are offering a special half-day outdoor classroom yard observation and workshop on Friday, January 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Space is very limited.)
The Saturday, full-day conference will feature a wide ranging selection of new and expanded workshops to choose from. If you have attended Outdoor Classroom Project events before, there will be new content at this event. Teachers who have participated in the Outdoor Classroom Specialist Trainings will benefit from the many new and inspiring workshops.
Everyone will have an opportunity to observe the Outdoor Classrooms, take photos, participate in play activities, talk with the staff of the Child Educational Center (CEC), and explore how your program can become an Outdoor Classroom Demonstration or Recognized Site.
There will also be opportunities to take guided tours of the CEC yards and participate in small group discussions with ECE professionals experienced with outdoor classrooms.
Come and connect with other committed professionals, reconnect with your sense of play, and join the fun in the Outdoor Classrooms of the CEC’s model program. Share in the experience that has inspired and benefited nearly 4,500 teachers from over 900 centers.
“I loved so many things about this conference;
the use of the outdoor set-up and getting new ideas; having time to explore the environment in order
to be inspired; but the main value for me
was the connection between theory and practice.”
